Julia L. Ielapi

Troy- Julia L. Ielapi, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Marie (Canfield) Denio.
Julia worked for New York Telephone Company before going on to work for the Troy School District. Julia loved traveling to the beach with her family but above all she loved spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids and her grand dogs.
Julia is survived by her two daughters; Amanda Easterby (Lance) and Amy Ielapi (Crystal). She was the loving "Gram" to Alexis McCleary and Jahvaer Bostick and the loving "Nona" to Aniyah King and Ayla Murray.
She will also be missed by her cousin Mary Theresa Burns, who was like a sister to her.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd. Watervliet, NY 12189. A memorial service will begin at 7pm.
