Julia Elizabeth Sage

October 30, 1955 — September 22, 2018

NISKAYUNA - Julia Elizabeth (Jones) Sage entered into eternal life on September 22, 2018. She was born in New Berlin, New York on October 30, 1955 to Anthony Ira Jones and Dorothy Mary (Bradbury) Jones.

Julia graduated from Mount Markham High School and later enlisted in the Navy. A few years after she was honorably discharged, she welcomed her first daughter, Ellen, into the world. She later married Ralph A. Sage, Sr. who was the father of three on December 3, 1983 and gave birth to her two youngest, Katie and David.

She had a gift for nurturing house plants and pets. Julia and Ralph enjoyed vacationing with their dear friends Al and Ellen Sagendorph. Julia enjoyed baking, volunteering and spending time with her church family. She was a faithful member of Seed of Abraham, Schenectady, New York. She often made "joyful noises unto the Lord" even though she claimed that she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. She was never shy about sharing her deep love for the Lord or pointing people to Jesus.

Julia was predeceased by her parents and her younger sister, Eleanor Ann (Jones) Moore.

She is survived by three children by marriage - Ralph A. Sage, Jr. (Kristelle); Thomas E. Sage (Cindy); and Karen A. (Sage) Fandl (Don); and three birth children - Ellen M. (Jones) Allen (Isaiah); Katie E. (Sage) Smi (Jeff); and David A. Sage (Tiffany); sixteen grandchildren; and her siblings - Roy (Darlene), Frederick, Juanita (Jones) Handy (Keith), Thomas (Karen), John (Bonnie), Lysle (Shelly), and Doug Moore (Eleanor). She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

"I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith."2 Timothy 4:7

She was a devout woman, a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a loyal friend and now dances in the presence of God, free from every burden, every trial, and every disease.
