LOUDONVILLE - Julie Khazarian Wyatt, 81, passed into eternal life on Monday, February 28, 2005 in Los Angeles, California.
Julie was born on September 16, 1923 in Troy to the late Matthew and Rachel Bakerian Khazarian. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College in Troy; her studies were in literature, languages, and art history.
A museum educator at the Albany Institute of History and Art, she led the docent program for many years. She was also a freelance writer for the arts sections of the Knickerbocker News, Times Union, and Schenectady Gazette.
Julie actively contributed numerous hours and financial support to the arts and the community. She was on the board or member of various organizations including the Shaker Heritage Society, Ten Broeck Mansion, Center Galleries, Inception Committee for Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and The Historical Society of the Town of Colonie. She also participated in the Albany City Arts Office and the Albany Tulip Festival.
Julie's husband of 50 years, Dr. B. Woodrow Wyatt, died in 1998. Her sister, Lucille Ashjian, died in 2004.
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by Linda Wyatt, Wendy Wyatt (John Murphy), Julie Ann Lofgren (James), and Woodrow Jonathan Wyatt (Cathy), and 6 grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 362 State St., Albany. Interment Albany Rural Cemetery.
