TROY - Julio A. Calautti, 79, passed away on March 15, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Julio was born on February 5, 1928 in Albany and was the son of the late Nicholas and Theresa Sansalone Calautti. He served in the US Navy during WWII, attaining the rank of Seaman Second Class. He was a plumber with Local Union #7 in Albany for 12 years, before retiring in 1993. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, doing handy work around the house and loved his yard. He was a member of the American Legion Zaloga Post #1520.
Julio is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan (DiLeo) Calautti, his son, Michael J. (Sherry) Calautti, his grandson, Thomas F. (Debbie) Larkin and his great granddaughter, Amanda Marie Larkin all of Troy; his brother, Frank (Cecilia) Calautti of Colonie; his sister, Josephine (Michael) Prestipino of East Greenbush and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Calautti.
Funeral services will be 8:15 a.m. Monday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Francis de Sales Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
