June Carol Kuck

ALBANY – June Carol Johnson Kuck, 81, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Braintree, MA and was a 1949 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, MA. June went to the New England Conservatory of Music and was a 1958 graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn. She was a Registered Nurse at Huntington Hospital and St. John's Hospital on Long Island, Montgomery County Nursing Services and Albany County Nursing Home from where she retired in 1994. June was an active member of the Clifton Park Red Hat Society, United Methodist Church Choir and the Mohawk Valley Chorus. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a former 4H leader. June was an associate member of the Northeast Chapter of Korean War Veterans and former member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.
June is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Kenneth H. Kuck. She is the devoted Mother of Carol Ann (James) Peck, Lori Jeanne (Vincent) Racaniello and Eric Peter (Karin) Kuck. She is the sister of Betty Widell, Robert (Betty) Johnson and the late Laurentius and Philip Johnson. June is the cherished grandmother of Mary, James Jr. (Karlene), Scott and Matthew Peck; Amanda and Kristen Racaniello and Anneka Kuck. She is the great grandmother of Hailey Peck. June is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 12 noon to 2:00 at the funeral home. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Suite 200, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of June C. Kuck.
