June M. D'Elisiis
March 16, 1925 — September 11, 2017
Schenectady- June M. D'Elisiis, 92, passed away on September 11, 2017 at Baptist Nursing and Rehab with her family by her side. She was born in Albany on March 16, 1925 to the late John and Mary Ford.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard M. D'Elisiis, her daughter, Donna M. D'Elisiis, her son Joseph D'Elisiis, her brother Theodore (Mary) Ford and her sister Rita (Al) Couchot.
June is survived by her son Richard J. (Carol A.) D'Elisiis as well as many nieces and nephews.
June worked for the State Tax and Finance Department before leaving in the late 1950s to raise her family. She returned in the early 1980s, part-time, before retiring in the mid 1990s. At her time with the state she worked at the Schenectady Republican Polling places for many years.
June lived at Mont Pleasant Commons for the past 18 years and made many friends there. She loved playing Bingo, Pokeno, and going to the mall. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was loved by everyone. She was a devout Catholic and said prayers, Novenas, and the Rosary every day.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady. Calling hours will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9am at St. Luke's Church, 1241 State St, Schenectady, NY 12304.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Luke's Church.
