June E. Haas

COLONIE – June E. Haas, 64, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday July 29, 2012 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adele Edwards. June was predeceased in 2010 by her husband, Jacob J. Haas Jr. June was a gifted hairdresser for over forty years. She was a devoted fan of Elvis. June enjoyed traveling to Florida as often as possible. She looked forward to bringing everyone together to celebrate every holiday, especially Christmas and birthdays.
She is the cherished mother of June A. (Andy) Faragon, Jacob J. (Jane), Joseph M. (Christina), Jason R., Jarrod S. (Nina), Justin B. (Lori) and Jessica H. Haas. She is the beloved sister of Odella (Harold) Rogers, Susan (Harry) Howe, Julie (Peter) Winters and the late Robert J. Edwards. Sister in law of Deidre Edwards. June is the loving grandmother of Andrew, Alexis, Michael, Jordan, Jensen, Joseph, Sophie, Jason, Zachary, Jeremy, Mackenzie, Joey, Jaden, Jullian, Jagger, Justin, Caden, Ava and the late Julia Rose.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will follow the Mass from 11:30am to 1:30pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of June E. Haas.
