SCHENECTADY – June H. Dieterle, 80, of Schenectday, passed away on Monday August 8, 2005 at her home after a brave struggle with cancer.
June was born on January 15, 1925 in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Mary and Lester Thein.
June worked as a nurses aid at the Guilderland Nursing Home for 25 years; prior to that she worked at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. She also was a vendor at the Whitehouse and various antique/flea markets for over 20 years.
June is survived by two daughters, Catherine and her husband Leroy Polk of Eustis, FL and Holly Griffiths of Albany; two sons, Lester Dieterle of Schenectady and Charles Dieterle and his wife Judith of Lemon Grove, CA; and one sister, Eileen Krauss of Canton, OH. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Walter R. Dieterle, a daughter, June Robinson and two grandsons, Ryan Dieterle and Scott Dieterle.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 7:30 p.m.
Interment will be in Westville Cemetery in Westville, NY.
