ROTTERDAM – June L. Young, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home.
June was born on June 17, 1928 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Louis J. and J. Elizabeth Snyder Peters. She graduated from Albany Business School. June's work career started teaching at Warrensburg High School for a few years. She then worked as a secretary/receptionist for architect Robert Trudeau and then volunteered at St. Clare's Hospital.
June enjoyed family vacations on Cape Cod and after retiring she loved international traveling and cruising with her husband. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Schenectady where she was active in the choir. She also enjoyed bowling.
June is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Earl W. Young; her loving children, Earl K. Young and Laurie E. (Tracy) Price; her cherished grandsons, Taylor and Wade Price and two nieces. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Jean Peters.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
