Troy - Karen M. Galough, 69. On Friday, February 26, 2021 she passed away as she wanted, at home, with loving family by her side. A Virgo on the Virgo full moon. Karen was the daughter of the late William and Mary Larkin. Karen was the devoted wife to Paul Galough. They were married 50 years.
Karen was a member/owner of the Honest Weight Food Co-Op, where she worked as a Shopper's Helper. Karen was a nature enthusiast. She enjoyed finding, harvesting, and processing wild plants into cures for body and spirit. She loved her grandchildren and attended all their sports, concerts, and plays.
Karen is survived by children, Scott (Eileen) and Bryan (Jenny); her grandchildren, William "Billy" Galough, Ella and Emily Galough; her siblings, Barbara Severance, Michael Larkin and Timothy Larkin, and many loving relatives and friends.
Karen is predeceased by her brother, Gene Larkin.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 am. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 am. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
