ALBANY – Karen M. Segretto, 34, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Born in Schenectady, she had lived in Rotterdam for most of her life. Karen was a graduate of Mohonasen High School and SUNY, Delhi with a degree in Architectural Design and Drawing. Karen was very health conscious. She was a Hatha Yoga instructor and was pursuing a career in Naturopathic Medicine.
Karen is the devoted mother of two sons, Ethan Stevens, and his Dad, Steve and Karsten Segretto and his Dad, Anthony. She is the beloved daughter of Cheryl and Anthony Aini of Rotterdam and David and Denise Wainwright of Virginia. Karen is the cherished sister of Terri (Michael) Vigo of Voorheesville and David Wainwright and Colleen Borst, both of Virginia. She is the loving granddaughter of Carolyn Bemis of Princetown, NY and special aunt of Alyssa and Michaela Vigo and other nieces and nephews. Karen is also survived by her adored aunts and uncles, Carolyn (Mark) Martin, Hal Fyvie, Todd (Terrie) Fyvie, Kim (Henryk) Szady, Scott Fyvie and Kelly (Bruce) Milkins as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 E Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124 in memory of Karen M. Segretto.
