Karen D Moton 59, entered into eternal rest on April 21,2022. She was born on February 25th,1963 to the latest Frederick Moton and Mary Williams. Karen was recently employed with the City of Albany as a crossing guard and an active member of Life Church Albany, where she was recently baptized.
Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother who worked diligently to be an active person in all of the lives of her grandchildren. While living her best life, Karen was an unfiltered, unapologetic, hilarious and loving person. She enjoyed seeing, arts & crafts and going to Bingo. Karen also has a love for cooking and was often known for feeding people in the neighborhood. Karen had a fun and loving spirit and was often known to be the life of the party.
Karen is survived by her seven children, Alan Shaw Jr, Demetra Randolph (Rabeem), LaRema Rucker (Will), Shah-Nijah Fields, Nah-Kiem Fields, Kendrick Moton and Emagji Utsey. 17 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Eljean Williams and Arlethia Moton, 1 brother Willard Williams and a host of neices, nephews, step brothers and sisters. Karen is also survived by her step mother Rema Williams.
Karen is predeceased by her sister Norma Maye and brother Charles Williams.
Karen was loved and will truly be missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A service will begin at 1pm.
