Karen R. Torner

Karen (Torner) Sigas of Colonie age 46, passed away on Monday March 4, 2024 at home as a result of multiple ongoing health issues.

She was a graduate of St. Rose with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education.

Karen is survived by her beloved children, who were her whole world, Angelika (age 17), Mark and Matthew (age 16) her parents Kenneth and Sue Sigas, her sister Laura (Tom) Chirayil as well as her nephew and niece Georen and Maris Chirayil. She was predeceased by her brother and best friend, Greg Sigas.

Karen will be remembered as fun loving and caring with a touch of sass. Her wit and strong will were unrivaled. She adored getting all the cousins together for a movie night with popcorn and all the fixings, game night or swimming and races in the pool. Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, March 16 11am - 2pm, at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals , 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
