Clifton Park---- Karl Freitag, age 52, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2018 while riding his bicycle.
Karl was born in Niskayuna, the son of the late Louann and Francis Freitag.
He was interested in the New England Patriots, a fan of heavy metal music venues, was an avid muscle car fanatic- especially Shelby Mustang's, weight lifting, and Friday nights at the Albany Saratoga Speedway watching his cousins- The Ronca's racing.
Karl is survived by his son, Douglas Freitag; grandson, Julian Freitag; brother, Robert Freitag; nephew, Joseph Freitag; and step son, Alex Myers. He was also a father figure to Jacob Koch and Nickolas Koch. He is also survived by Aunts: June Ronca, Virginia Guild, Arlene Tenance, and Mary Freitag-Aubin; and an uncle, Louis Tenace. Also survived by several cousins and a close friend Bruce Wheeler.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
