Karl J. Held, 46, passed away suddenly on January 2, 2010. Karl graduated from Lake George High in 1982 then furthered his education at the Culinary Institution of America where he earned his degree as a Certified Chef. He worked in various restaurants in the Capital District, Saratoga and Lake George area. Karl loved spending time with his friends on Lake George.
Karl was predeceased by his father and Best friend, Glen Held. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Larry) Verch; his sister Dawn (Reggie) Flansburg; his step-mother, Barb Held; his step-nephews, Brandan and Brett Flansburg; an Aunt and Uncle and several cousins. He is also survived by his close friends, Gino, Tony and Mark. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
