Karl O. Gamble

Albany- Karl O. "Buster" Gamble passed away peacefully at Hudson Park Nursing Home in Albany, NY on Friday, October 30 2015. The son of O'Neal and Geneva Gamble, Karl was born in Troy, NY on October 24, 1954. Karl was an adventurous man whose travels took him to many places with different jobs and callings. It allowed him to meet a lot of people and make many special friendships. He was humble and selfless, a kind and gentle soul with a great personality and sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by us all.
He was predeceased by his father O'Neal "Buster" Gamble. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Geneva D. Gamble; his brothers: Harvey Gamble, Genrett Dukes; his sisters Francine Gamble (Robert Chandler), Charlene Gamble; he was Uncle to Shalonda and Loriel Dickson, Kareem Brown, Jahmeer Jackson, Fatima Gamble, Dontae Gamble and Rodney Dukes; he was great-uncle to 4 nephews and 1 niece; he is also survived by a host of aunts, 1 uncle, many cousins and dear friends.
A special thank you to cousins Beulah Daniels and Lula Myers for their love and support during this difficult time. Thank you to all of the staff of Hudson Park Nursing Home for taking care of Karl during his illness. Thank you to St. Peter's Hospice Care for making this as easy as possible. Also, a special thank you to the Albany Capital City Mission for the visits and kindness you showed Karl. God Bless you all.
Going Home services will be Thursday, November 5th at New Hope Missionary Church, 2900 5th Avenue, Troy, NY 12180. The services will be officiated by Rev. Charles Barber. Calling hours will be from 9 am to 11 am with the funeral service beginning at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
