ALBANY – Karole A. (Larmon) Wilson, 61, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was predeceased by her son, Calvin Wilson, Jr. who passed on February 7, 2010.
Karole was born on December 22, 1948 in Troy and is the daughter of Ann Larmon and the late Ray S. Larmon, Sr. She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School. Karole worked for NYS Department of Education for over 30 years before retiring in 2004 – the majority in fiscal management then the archives. She always worked in addition to her full time job at Bradley's, Caldor, JC Penney's, Duracolor, Boscov's, Bon-Ton and currently at the Bank of America. She enjoyed traveling – especially on cruises with her family, going to casinos, putting puzzles together and doing crafts. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society.
In addition to her mother, Karole is survived by her daughter, Stacie M. Wilson, her brothers, Ray S. (Linda) Larmon, Jr. and Richard S. (Kathy) Larmon; her sisters, Diane M. (Richard) Okonsky, Mary Irene (John) Winne, and Marion A. (Robert) Robinson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
