Katherine "Bette" Gale

Guilderland- Katherine Elizabeth "Bette" (Sheehan) Gale, 92, passed peacefully into her Savior's arms on Sunday August 28, 2016. She was born on January 22, 1924, in Albany to Raymond C. and Mary (McAnespy) Sheehan. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin H. Gale, Jr.
Though she had no children of her own, she was the aunt to ten nieces and nephews: Linda Griffin, Barbara O'Connor, John (Kelly) Devine, Joan Tebbutt (Daniel) Persing, John W. (Mary) Tebbutt, Jr., Charles Tebbutt, Stephen (Mary) Sheehan, Susan (Eugene) Brennan, Lisa (David) Mannix, Carolyn (Mike) Velji; great aunt to 21; and great-great aunt to another 9. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Raymond C. (Sheila) Sheehan, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters: Margaret "Peggy" Devine and Mary S. Tebbutt.
Katherine's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of The Teresian House, especially 5B for their compassionate and loving care.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on September 17 at The Infant of Prague Chapel, Teresian House, Albany. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
