CASTLETON ON HUDSON----- Katherine J. Bump, age 79, passed away on June 8, 2022 at her residence with her husband Bud by her side.
She was born one of the three Wilcox triplets in Albany, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Rhoda Wilcox. Kathy was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Jane Cayo and Karol Zdunczyk and a brother Kenneth Wilcox.
She was a 1960 graduate of Maple Hill High School, Hudson Valley Community College in 1975 and SUNY Cobleskill in 1996.
Katherine retired from the New York State Department of Health in January 2002.
She was a devoted Christian, avid reader, Mets fan and enjoyed frequent trips with her husband to Maine, California and Nevada.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 42 years Bud; children: Rick (Dawn) Favour, Jean Favour, Ron (Sarah) Favour, Robin (Scott) Dickinson; and sister, Janet Conway. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Rd, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY 12033 on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 1pm. A graveside service will follow at 3:30pm at the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Troy, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or to Emmanuel Reformed Church, Maple Hill Road, Castleton, NY 12033.
