ALBANY - Katherine Haynes, 80, of Albany, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at Albany County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Haynes was born Katherine Veronica Lawlor in Albany on May 5, 1925. The daughter of Albert M. and Lillian V. Lawlor.
Survivors include two daughters, Leslie DeLorenso of East Greenbush, Lynn Norkun of Greenfield Ctr., a son, David Norkun of So. Bethlehem; a brother, Robert Lawlor of Texas, a sister Francis Kadio of Georgia; eight grandchildren, including Jennifer Munger of Cohoes, Sara Eldred of Coxsackie; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held on Friday 11 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Inurnment will follow at in Calvary Cemetery 481 Route 9W Glenmont. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
Katherine retired from NY Telephone as a telephone repair operator. She loved spending time with her family and nature. She enjoyed playing cards with her brother Albert, sister Betty and grandchildren. Katherine was a woman of integrity, grace, style and compassion. Most of all she devoted her life to her family.
