Katherine M."Ginger" Ghezzi

ALBANY – Katherine M. "Ginger" Ghezzi, 94, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Katherine was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Achille and Katherine Bossalini Ghezzi. She worked for NYS Department of Labor as secretary for Constantine Fascia for 32 years before retiring. She was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed traveling, current events, politics, and baseball games.
Katherine is survived by her cousins, Frank and Pilar Ghezzi, Jack Ghezzi, Alan and David Adami, Dominick and Barbara Bossalini, Jean and Leo Mahar and many other cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Frank Ghezzi.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Blessed Sacrament Church, 609 Central Ave., Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
