ALBANY - Katherine Richardson, 82, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at The Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Charles and Genevieve (Fitzpatrick) Skinkle. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping and watching wrestling and football.
She is the mother of Donna (Brian) Domion of Oneonta, Kelly Gilliam of Colonie, Kevin Richardson of Albany, and Dolores (Thomas) Ramundo of Albany; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Janet Skinkle; her brothers, Charles (Margaret) Skinkle and Francis "Mike" (Michael Krahula) Skinkle; her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Smith and Patty Deyoe; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, William J. Richardson Jr. and her son-in-law, Michael DeSantis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be held at from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
