Katherine Rusch

Katherine Rusch passed peacefully into eternal life on November 18, 2017.
Born in East Worcester, NY, she was the youngest child of Anthony and Suzanne (Amorella) Glionna. Katherine was a graduate of Worcester High School. After graduating, she moved to Schenectady where she was employed at the Mica Insulator Company. While living in Schenectady, she met her late beloved husband Lawrence. They were married at St. John the Baptist Church in Schenectady in 1954. Katherine was a gentle, kind and loving woman who cherished her family. She deeply enjoyed raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her home. Katherine is survived by her five children: Joan M. (Jerome) Sicard, Guilderland, Lawrence F. (Julie) Rusch, Clifton Park, William J. Rusch, Albany, Patricia A. (James) Bellucci, Pawling, NY, Virginia Rusch, New York City.
She is also survived by five grandchildren: Zachary and Jacob Sicard, Caroline Rusch, and James and Lauren Bellucci. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kathleen Rusch. In addition, Katherine is survived by her sister, Stella Thompson. She was predeceased by her brothers: Joseph Glionna, John Glionna, Willard Glionna, Frank Glionna and Anthony Glionna, and a sister Dealba Bengen. Katherine was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
There will be no calling hours. At the request of Katherine, a private Christian burial service will be celebrated.
She will be laid to rest at the Most Holy Redeemer cemetery in Niskayuna.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
