Katherine R. Webber

Schenectady- Katherine R . Webber, 87, passed away peacefully while asleep on Saturday, April 5th, 20205. Born in Ithaca, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Ritt. Katherine is survived by her husband of 63 years, Michael B. Webber

Biographical info. Katherine married Michael in 1961 in Mt. Kisco, NY and almost immediately moved to Southwest Africa (Namibia). While there she learned to love camping and traveling in their “El Camino” style VW. She was an at-home mother until children grew and she found her dream vocation as a nursing home Activities Director; first in Port Chester and then Wappingers Falls, NY. She loved Summers at Paradox Lake which she and Michael eventually made their permanent home. While living there she engaged with St. Andrews Church in the Village of Schroon Lake and became heavily involved with the Carillon Garden Club of Ticonderoga.

In addition to her husband, Katherine is survived by her three children, Martha/Rachel, Matthew (Lisa) and Sarah (Chris).

She was the loving grandmother to Joan (Kieran), Olivia (Dante), Emily, Anna (Colin), Zachary, Michael and Alex (Maggie) and Great Grandmother to Jubilee.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen’s Church, 1229 Baker Ave, Schenectady, NY 12309 on Tuesday, April 15th at 2:00 p.m.
