Kathleen A. Dautner

NISKAYUNA-Kathleen A. Dautner, 63, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Troy, NY, the daughter of the late Carl and Julia (Behan) Burger. Kathleen has resided in Niskayuna for the past 27 years. She was employed by New York Telephone Company and most recently as a teacher's aide for Niskayuna Central Schools. Kathleen was a communicant of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish (formerly Our Lady of Fatima Church). As giving was her nature, she was involved with various organizations, always being connected to people in some way. Kathleen raised money for Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. She was also an avid supporter of Toys for Tots and Habitat for Humanity. Her family was her life and her giving nature was never less than over the top. She was a mother to all and a mom to her family and those closest to her. There are not enough words to express how much she will be missed.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 34 years, Richard Dautner and her children Susan (Iain) Hally and Stephen Dautner. She was also survived by her sister-in-law Hermine Ganes, her cousin Robert Reger and her God children Lisa Stewart and Keith Reger and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother Carl Burger.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 9:00 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 2216 Rosa Rd. Schenectady.

Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
