Kathleen A. Newland, age 63, passed away on August 12, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. The daughter of the late Edward and Ailsa (Bailey) Paige, she was born on August 30, 1951 in Albany, NY.
She loved farming and spending time with her family at her lake house. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lynn Newland.
Kathleen is survived by her children; Peter (Effie) Ahl, Jeremy Ahl and David Ahl; her siblings; Douglas Paige, Steve (Julie) Paige, Merilee (Marshall) Roberts, Denise Lively, Edward L. (Lisa) Paige, Jr., Thomas J. (fiancée Patricia Lester) Paige; she is the grandmother of Gabrielle Ahl and Alaina Ahl.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, August 14 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 15 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Colonie. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen's name to The American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
