Kathleen M. Cure, affectionately known as Katie, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on February 26, 2015. She was 75 years old.
The daughter of the late George and Florence (Smith) Goebel, Kathleen was born on July 19, 1939 in Troy, NY. She was a graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes. Kathleen was a supervisor at the NYS Department of Labor for 37 ½ years.
Kathleen loved Elvis, travelling, playing slots, bingo and Saratoga Horse Track. The biggest love of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Mechanicville Elks #1403, CSEA and RPEA.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children: Rick Isdell, Michele Bowick (Tony); her grandchildren: Tatianna Bowick, Hans Isdell and Nora Peat; her step-children: Laura Cure, Robert Cure, Jr. and Joanne Peat (Dave); her siblings: Roselyn Mahoney, Cheryl Fecura (Robert), Mark Goebel (Carol), Margaret Morelli (Rob); her sister-in-law Patricia Goebel, her brother-in-law, Vern (Carol) Cure; several nieces, nephews, cousins; her special friends: Madeline LeBarron, Rita Keefe, and Christine Isdell-Lounello
In addition to her parents and her husbands: Robert Cure, Nelson Isdell, and William Noack , Kathleen was predeceased by her brother George (Ronnie) Goebel and her brother-in-law Thomas Mahoney.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 4th at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 5th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
Kathleen's family would like to express their gratitude to Rensselaer County Hospice especially Jamie, Sandy, Penny, Cianna and Dr. Pica and her staff for their loving and compassionate care. A special thanks to our family and friends for their concern and prayers during this difficult time.
