Kathleen Dacey

Kathleen Dacey, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her home unexpectedly.

Kathy led a life defined by resilience, humor, and a deep love for her family.

As a single mother, she was devoted to her daughter and took great pride in being a constant source of support and guidance. Her love and care extended to her granddaughters, who they affectionately call “Mema”. Kathy cherished every moment she spent with her granddaughters and adored watching them grow.

Kathy worked for 37 years at the United States Postal Service. Her perseverance and sense of humor made her a beloved colleague, and she brightened the days of all those around her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of the many family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and humor.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, William J. Dacey and Marjorie A. Dacey, and her three brothers Roy, Micheal, and Shawn. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Lynn Dacey, and two granddaughters Rozlyn Grace Levin and Olivia Hope Levin; her siblings Florence Dacey, Francis Dacey, Nicole (Victor) Caisse, and Christina (Dennis) Hans and her BFF Pamela (Nicholas) DiFlorio. She is also survived by an uncle, aunt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Calling hours will be held 9-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12206 on Friday, September 20, 2024. A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany NY 12206 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery 48 Cemetery Ave., Menands, NY 12204
