Kathleen V. Hirsch

COLONIE-----On July 21, 2022 Kathleen Hirsch, age 68, gained her heavenly wings surrounded by her loved ones. Kathy was the daughter of the late Stanley and Veronica Gecewicz.

She was the soulmate, companion and wife to Thomas Hirsch. Kathy is survived by her siblings Maureen, Karen, Patty, Ron and Billy. She was the beloved and cherished mother to four daughters: Amiee, Kristina, Arica and Nichole and Loved Step Mother to Holly and Tuck. Kathy was a cherished grandmother and great grandmother to Zack, Dietrich, Paul, Jojo, Jonny, Cheyanne, Nicholas, Angelique, Ciara, David, Ayla, Wren and Arya. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and several cousins.

Kathy took great pride in her daughters and adored her grandchildren. She was also well known as the "neighborhood mom" and will be remembered as so by many. She opened her door and heart to many throughout her life. Kathy was always an amazing caretaker. She was a lifelong member at the Joseph E. Zaloga Post. Kathy enjoyed volunteering her time and energy for various foundations. One of her lives greatest joys was spending time and making memories with her family.

The memorial services for Kathleen will be held on Wednesday, July 27 from 3 PM to 6 PM at New Comer Cremation and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. The family would like to invite all to a celebration of life at the Joseph E. Zaloga Post, 4 Everett Rd., Albany, NY 12205, immediately following the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Kathy's favorite charity, Saint Judes Children's Hospital in her name.
