GUILDERLAND - Kathleen "Kay" B. Baptiste, 85, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Westmere Home for Adults.
Kay was born on January 27, 1927 in Rome, NY and was the daughter of the late Jean L. and Beatrice B. (Barnard) Baptiste. She was retired from the Ford Motor Co. in Latham.
Kay was the loving sister of Robert J. Baptiste of Delmar and the late Jean B. Baptiste. She is also survived by a dear friend, Audrey Barker of Schenectady. She also leaves behind her feline companion, Spooky.
A graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens in Colonie. Anyone wishing to attend may meet inside the entrance of the cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
