Kathleen Nunziato, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was the daughter of the late Brayton and Helen Jones. Kathy was the devoted wife of the late Richard Nunziato; they shared over fifty years of marriage.

Fulfilling her heartfelt wish, Kathy spent her final days at home, surrounded by the comfort, laughter, and love of her closest friends and family.

Kathy dedicated her career to serving the people of New York State.

She found her greatest joy in talking with friends over coffee, cherishing her beloved pets over the years, Sam, Jordan, Shelby, Tucker, Gussy, and Bailey, and spending time with loved ones over great food at D'Raymonds, especially the chicken parm! She also treasured countless memories at camp on the Sacandaga Reservoir and peaceful days spent boating on the lake.

She is survived by her beloved son, Jeffrey R. Nunziato, his wife Jacquelynne Manning Nunziato, and their daughter Madelynne J. Nunziato. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Richard C. Nunziato and his daughter Amber K. Nunziato, and Kimberly A. Nunziato and her daughter Sofia K. Sanzo.

In addition, Kathy is survived by her siblings, Geraldine Jones Nabozny, Patrick M. Jones, and Dennis E. Jones.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at a later date.
