Kathleen Oliver

Rotterdam – Kathleen A. Oliver, 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 5, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy spent most of her life working as a visiting nurse for Schenectady County until she left to be an active grandmother. Kathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alexander. She is also survived by children; David (Christine) Spooner, Alexander (Maureena) Oliver, Dawn (Les) Oliver, Alta (Edward) Toole, Davie Oliver and step daughter Michelle Owens. Kathy is survived by her siblings Sandra (Donald) Blakeslee, Maxine (Clarence) Guyette, Cindy Slyman, Roseann Jones, Frank (Burnadette) Spooner, James Spooner, Harley (Cheryl) Spooner, Mark (Sherry) Spooner, and Philip (Lynn) Spooner. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friend and family member Amber Thomason. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mildred Spooner, and siblings Linda L. Claus, Sue Castell, Earl Spooner, Wiliam Spooner, and grandson Earl LaMay IV.
A Memorial service for Kathy will be held on Saturday September 7th at 10 a.m. at The New Apostolic Church, 2389 Curry Rd. Calling hours will be from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the church.
