Kathryn L. Wilson

Kathryn L. Wilson, 78, died April 3, 2025, after a long battle with Altzheimer’s disease. Daughter of the late Owen and Kathryn Sites, Kathryn (Kathy) lived most of her life in Illinois until she and her husband, Robert H. Wilson (Bob), moved to Colonie, New York this past summer. In Illinois, Kathy and Bob spent their days together at their beautiful home. When healthy, she would love to quilt, bake (she was a Pampered Chef consultant in earlier years), watch movies and read (while Bob watched the Yankee games). She loved to dine out at the local restaurants (often enjoying a chocolate martini) and take road trips to New York to visit family. Kathy also enjoyed telling stories about growing up with her four older brothers, David Sites (Peggy), and the late Charles, Donald and John Sites.

In addition to her beloved husband and brother, survivors include her daughter, Dawn Speckmann (Kurt); sons Steve Larson (Laura) and Brian Larson; her grandchildren, Jamie Black (Tyler), Olivia Hendriksen (Erik) and Alex Larson; and many nieces and nephews. Kathy also leaves behind her stepchildren, Yolanda Meleco (Michael) and Robert, Richard and Mary Elizabeth Wilson.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 1030am-1130am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 1130am with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
