Katy Lee Halburian, 90, of Albany passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 5, 2014.
Born September 1, 1924 in Butler County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Edna Fuller.
Katy was a longtime member of the Loudonville Community Church. She was very active in her community serving over 25 years on the South Colonie School Board, 20 years as a member of the Albany Landlord's Association and was a member of CDARPO (Capital District Association of Rental Property Owners). Katy had a passion for gardening and loved to shop at the local malls.
Survivors include her sons Kim Halburian (Caryl) of West Palm Beach, FL and Kevin Halburian (Ann) of Albany; granddaughters Alexa, Erika, Julia and Caroline Halburian and nieces Charlotte, Sherrell, Kay and Valerie. Katy is also survived by numerous cousins. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Armen Halburian; sister Opie Nell Washer and brothers James and Kim Fuller.
Funeral services to celebrate Katy's life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 11 A.M. at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road Albany. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Sunday, December 14 from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
