ALBANY_Keak Heng, 97, passed away on December 21, 2015 at home with her family.
She was born on March 24, 1918 to the late Heug and Thiden (Tran) Phan at Kampot, Cambodia. Keak was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took great pride caring for her family. Keak was an amazing grandmother. She raised her granddaughter Tiffany and moved in to her daughters home to help care for her young granddaughter, Kimberley.
Keak is survived by her loving children, Seng (Sok Krec), Suneng, Vanna (Richard), Vanni, Vanthy; her granddaughters, Tiffany (Michael), Sokbau (Sok Cheng), Kimberley (Zachary); great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Sophia; special nephew, Alexander and many of her beloved relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Var Leam.
A prayer service for Keak will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 12:00pm. Friends are invited to visit from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday at New Comer Funeral Home. At 3:00pm family and friends will follow in procession to Park View Crematory for a final prayer service.
