Keith Crayon

ALBANY - Keith Crayon, 53, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 at his home. He was born to the late Elizabeth M. Kirkley & Willie Crayon on December 24, 1954 in Albany, New York. Keith was raised and educated in Albany. He held several jobs before landing a position with the Albany City School District; working as a Custodial Engineer for twenty- three years.
He was a kind and compassionate person; loving husband, caring father; a considerate brother and friend to all he met. Keith was not only a large man physically, but a man who was considered a "gentle giant;" a man with a big heart, a contagious smile, nonjudgmental and a great sense of humor! He will also be remembered in the neighborhood as a father to the neighborhood children; Keith really practiced "it takes a village to raise a child" He also showed his love and compassion for his wife, fulfilling a commitment of being together over 34 years. Keith loved and cared for his children dearly especially his granddaughter Keyarie.
Keith leaves to mourn his passing his wife Rosann; children: Kimberly, Kyle & Keisha Crayon; granddaughter-Keyarie. His bothers & sisters, Joan Griffin, James Prince, Kim Crayon, & Deborah Kamara of Albany, NY, Joyce Kirkley of Georgia, Kevin Crayon of Florida and Denise Kirkley-Cain of Washington DC. Bruce & Wayne Crayon preceded him in death. He is also survived by a host of other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday -7/22/08; at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
