ALBANY – Keith E. Mackey, 60, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at St. Peter's Hospital. Keith's spirit will live on in many lives he will touch through tissue donation.
Keith was born on August 27, 1948 in Albany and is the son of Edward V. and Helen A. (Connors) Mackey. He graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and Albany Business College. He worked for Lechmere's as a truck driver; prior to that he worked for the US Post Office. His interests were sports and politics, faithfully following the Mets and Jets, he lifted weights his entire life and he had a special interest in the early 20th Century baseball.
In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his daughter, Netanis Mackey; his sisters, Janet Mackey, Charlene Bernat, Kathleen Mackey and Joanne Mackey-Lovely (Rick); his brother, Douglas Mackey (Marcia); and his nieces and nephews, Michelle (Bernat) Martin, Michael Bernat, Christine Bernat, Brian and David Mackey and Daniel and Connor Lovely (Gizmo and Waldo).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Rd., Loudonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, 315 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Keith E. Mackey.
