Colonie- Keith (Martin) Green, born in Glens Falls, son of the late Martin A. Green and Doris E. LaFarr, died suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2016 with his loving family by his side, following a short illness.
Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy A. Green; daughter Georgana Childs (Michael), and sons William LaBombard and James LaBombard; six grandchildren, Sarah, Nathan, Crystal, Jessica, James, and Amaya; three great-grandchildren, Neveah, Andre, and Layla; five brothers-in-law, Art (Joan) Ryan, Charles (Nancy) Ryan, James Ryan, Jerry (Marge) Ryan, and Dan Ryan; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Marty) Goggin, Lynn (Steven) Demczar, Linda Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
Keith was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Martin Ryan and David Ryan.
Keith was an avid stock car driver at Lebanon Valley Speedway for a number of years and loved NASCAR and RC racing. He also started a Commodore computer club and ran that for several years. He was active in the Colonie Youth Club where he taught magic for some time. Keith was also a member of the Colonie Elks for several years and also organized a Hawaiian night one year. Keith was also a volunteer firefighter while living in Rensselaer. Before retiring, Keith was employed by Lexington Vacuum as a salesperson and technician. Keith was not only a member of the Lisha Kill Seniors, but also served as treasurer, tour group leader, membership chair, and active woodworker in the woodshop. He loved his weekly card games, where many thought he cheated because he always won.
Relatives and friends are invited on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 4-7 pm, with a service immediately following at 7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith's name to the Lisha Kill Senior Club at 1653 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205.
Keith will be missed by all who knew him.
