Keith Alan Kayser passed away on April 2, 2024, with his loving wife and daughter by his side. Keith fought a long battle with cancer, all while keeping a positive attitude through the hard times.
To know Keith was to love him, as he would put anyone he cared for before himself. Whether it be as a friend, a mentor, an uncle, a brother, or a father figure to his daughter's friends, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He retired from the New York State Thruway Authority after 20 years of service. He was invaluable in evaluating bridge hits, welding procedures, and everything related to steel.
Keith was an avid Jets fan, he was always waiting for them to win their next Super Bowl!
He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Kayser, who never left his side; his daughter Tara Kayser, who he shared an inexplicable bond with; his mother, Claire Kropp (Lawlor); his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Donna Hiley; his son-in-law Daniel Bodell; his siblings: Barbara Kelly (Jim), Karen Klepper (Al), William Kayser (Mickey), David Kayser (Maureen), and Todd Kayser (Tracy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
