ALBANY – Keith N. Mills, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013. He was a resident of Albany since 1967 and a former resident of St. Kittes, St. Croix and Bermuda. Keith was educated at Sandy Point Boys School and attended carpentry trade school in St. Kitts. He was a carpenter by trade and also worked as a supervisor for Callanan Industries Construction Company in Albany where he assisted with the electrical work in the roadway tunnels under the Convention Center. Keith was also a landlord and self-employed for the last forty years as the owner of Keith's Bait and Tackle Store. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and swimming and had a great love of animals.
Keith is the husband of Alicia Mills. He is the father of Fleurette V. Mills-Williams, Rosamund C. Mills, Tristram K.E. Mills, Sicely V. Mills, Yvette V. Mills, David Mills, Patrick Mills, Aven Mills, Markeith Mills and Keith Mills, Jr. Keith is the brother of Mary Mills and Steadmeny Richardson. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Eleanor Thompson and his sister-in-law Marlena (Jack) Alford, his former wife Thelma Mills and a host of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Martha Jane Newman and John Mills and his sisters, Marjorie Newton, Annie Warren Jones and Gwendolyn Haynes.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
