Keith Reid Shaw

Slingerlands- Keith Reid Shaw, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Born in Oneonta, NY he was the son of the late William and Jane Shaw. He was one of four siblings that grew up in East Worcester, NY. He went to Oneonta College and graduated with an Earth Science degree in 1970. Kiwi or Wee Wee as he was called by his brothers was a proud member of the Sigma Tau Alpha Fraternity. Where he made lifelong friends and great memories. Some of those brothers were Jepson, Eddie Mac, Prince, Santo Geraci, Alan Pfeffer, and Gary Wickham.

After college he work for The Watervliet Arsenal as their pest control specialist until he retired. Keith enjoyed fishing and horse track betting in his spare time.

Keith is survived by his son Keagan Shaw (Shannon Magee), daughter Sheena Effner (Bo Effner), his son Kyle Mayhew, and his daughter Kelly Anderson. He had several grandchildren including Lyla Shaw, Edin Shaw and Chelsea Shaw.

Following Keith's wishes there will be no services.
