Rotterdam - Kenneth A. McDonald, 72, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 22, 2016, at home with his loving family by his side.
He was the son of the late Matthew and Mabel McDonald.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life for 54 years of wedded bliss, Marcia Newman-McDonald.
Kenneth graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and then went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1961-1966.
Ken worked in the printing industry as a lithographer for over 40 years, retiring from The Times Union in 2005.
He was an avid golfer, bowler, bocce player and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed long rides in the car with his wife and traveling to see his grandson Dominick.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Craig (Annette) McDonald; and daughter, Sharon (Carmine) Lanci; grandchildren, Dominick (Melissa) Lanci, Alicia (Matthew) Yacowenia, Daniel McDonald; and great-grandchild, Cole Yacowenia. Brother, Matthew (Dorothy) McDonald; as well as several nieces and nephews. Kenneth is predeceased by his sister, Florence Kniskern; and sister-in-law, Lois (Robert) Matt.
