ALBANY – Kenneth A. Miller, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Albany and raised in East Berne, he was the son of the late Ethan A. and Emma A. Miller.

Ken was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for the General Electric Company, NYS Capitol Police and NYS Department of Mental Health. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, and farming. His farm was truly his lifelong love.

Along with his parents, Ken was predeceased by his sister Marie Flagler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Perkins) Miller; brother Robert Miller; nephew Dennis Flagler; nieces Debra Flagler, Julie Richardson, Beverly Miller, Virginia Reinish and Denise Kipper, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, and/or Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry, 607 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12206 in Ken's name.
