Castleton- Kenneth Boel Jr., 65, passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy on Monday, June 7, 2021. Kenny was the devoted son of Marilyn Burns Albright and the late Kenneth Boel Sr.
Ken grew up in Castleton and worked for the Schodack Central Schools as a custodian for 42 years.
Ken's hobby was restoring his 1930 Model A Ford and drove it proudly in the Castleton Memorial Day Parade. He also collected American flyer trains which he ran throughout his living room.
Ken spent his summers camping at Schroon Lake with his Highliner boat named Brenda Lee.
Ken is survived by his devoted mother, Marilyn Albright, sister; Brenda Wooster, nephew; Corey Wooster, Nieces; Laura McCrossan, Meghan Blais and Aunt Grace Boel, cousins; Brian Boel, Carol Caloro, Lynne Linden and Sandra Morris. Ken will also be missed by his special friends, Chip Lebrecht and Joe Zurik.
Ken is predeceased by his brother, David Boel, cousins; Patricia Boel Ruch (Jeffrey), Keith Boel and his favorite uncle Cornelius Boel.
Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11am at Horizon View Cemetery in Castleton, 1375 Brookview Station Rd, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY 12033.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
