McALLISTER, KENNETH
Kenneth McAllister, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at St. Peters Hospital after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born in Albany to Catherine and the late Richard McAllister Sr.. Kenneth worked for Price Chopper for over 35 years, he enjoyed gardening, had an extensive collection of model race cars, loved spending time with his family and walking his canine companion, Holly.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of over 32 years, Debbie (Preston) McAllister; he is the beloved father of, Melissa, Amanda, and his twin girls Amber and Ashley. He is the cherished grandfather of, Timmy and Destyni; the brother of Christine (Arthur W) Phinney III and Richard T. McAllister, Jr. He is also survived by his nieces, Bridget, Shannon, Erinn, Nicole and Amy.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Peters Emergency Department for all of their compassion.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 to 12 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Kenneth's Honor.
