NISKAYUNA, Kenneth J. Carcia, 28, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 with his loving wife and family by his side.
Kenny was born on March 15, 1989 to John and Lori Carcia in Albany, NY. In 2007 he graduated from Niskayuna High School. Afterwards he joined the United States Army where he served his country honorably with two tours in Iraq. After military service he graduated from HVCC, earning a degree as a machinist and went to work for Package One Industries in Schenectady, NY. On February 4, 2015 he married the love of his life, Abbey Denike. Kenny enjoyed shooting and he was a member of the WARG gun club, with his father and brother. He will be greatly missed.
Kenny is predeceased by his grandparents, Anthony Sr. and Mabel Carcia.
He is survived by his loving wife, Abbey, his loving parents, John and Lori Carcia, his brother, James Carcia, his grandparents, John and June Skopp, his in-laws, Karen and Stuart Denike, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, Colonie Chapel, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:00am. Burial will be at Saratoga National Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenny's name to the Stratton's Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
