Kenneth S. Dodge, 64 , of Clifton Park, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with his loving family by his side.
Ken was the devoted husband for 38 years to Christine M. (Sajdak) Dodge. Born in Springfield, MA, Kenneth was the son of Edwin and Ruth (Howard) Dodge of Cape Cod.
Beloved step father of Tracy (Lee) Kaback of Delmar, NY, Peter Duffy (Deanna Lively) of Greenfield, MA and the late Paul Duffy, Jr. Cherished Dziadziu to Ella and Max Kaback. Brother #2 of the late Thomas (Jan) Dodge, Russell (Leslie) Dodge, Bruce (Jayne) Dodge several adoring nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Ken will be missed by his loving in-laws; George (Karen) Sajdak and Genevieve (Steve) Chenette, as well as many extended family and friends.
Ken grew up in Longmeadow, MA but lived many years in Clifton Park, NY.
He received his education from the UMASS, Amherst and SUNY Buffalo, earning a Master's degree.
Ken retired from the NYS DOT, where he was a civil engineer for 32 years.
Ken and Chris met while they were both scout leaders in Menands, NY. He was an avid NASCAR, as well as Boston sports fan. Ken loved kayaking with his Piank, anything outdoors, endless projects around the home, making his famous chocolate chip cookies and clam dip. Ken and Chris enjoyed traveling as long as they were together, eternally on their second date.
Services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
Ken's family wishes to express their gratitude to the Nurses and Staff for the care Ken received in the ER, ICU and Hospice Inn.
