ALTAMONT- Kenneth Elmendorf JR., 76, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 with his loving family by his side.
Kenneth was born on July 27, 1938, son of the late Kenneth and Harriet (Klapp) Elmendorf.
Kenneth was a communicant of New Scotland Presbyterian church. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. Kenny was a talented artist. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He treasured camping trips he took with his family, visits from his special niece Brianne and his beloved dog, Dolly.
Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Carole Elmendorf, sons, Thomas K. (Daisy) Elmendorf, Mark (Mary Ellen Donnelly) Elmendorf, brother, William (Nancy) Elmendorf, sisters-in-law, Joan (Charles) Lightheart, Dianne Elmendorf and grandchildren, Kyle Elmendorf, Kyra Elmendorf, and Keefe Elmendorf.
Kenneth was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Joan Elmendorf, brother, John Elmendorf and sister, Peggy Denton.
A private graveside service for Kenny will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
