Kenneth G. Mostert, 53, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Ken was the son of Gary Mostert and Elinor (Keith) Mostert.
He graduated from Shaker High School in 1986 and has diplomas from Paul Smith College, University South Carolina, Siena College and his Master from SUNY Albany.
His last employment was with the Troy City School District.
Ken loved his apartment and fully housed it with antique furniture. He loved more than life his cat Miraibel. He spent time at the family lake house and loved to swim. He loved to argue politics and discuss world events. He was in the cub scouts, the boy scouts and shaker swim team and tennis team. He took trips to Spain and Mexico. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church in Latham and he loved cooking and entertaining his friends and made the best apple pies.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved cooking for them.
Kenneth is survived by his mother Elinor and his father Gary, brother Eric (Jane) and by his 4 nephews John, Peter, Matthew, and Stephen, and his 99 year old grandmother Blanche. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
There will be a private graveside service in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in Ken's memory.
