COLONIE- Kenneth W. Schroll, 82, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Ken was born in Albany, NY on December 15, 1933 to the late Milo and Florence Schroll. Ken was a graduate of Rosselvile High School, and went on to work for Tobin Packing, in Albany, NY for over 25 years. He was also employed by NYS in the Office of General Services, where he retired after 10 years of service. In 1953 Ken married his high school sweet heart, Marilyn. They were married for 62 years. After Ken and Marilyn were married Ken joined the Navy Reserves where he served his country for four years. Ken will be remembered for his love of bowling, fishing, hunting, camping, and vacationing in Maine. Kens passion in life was his family.
Ken is predeceased by his siblings; Alfred Schroll, George Schroll, and Bernice Ludden.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, his children; Patricia (Edwin) Roberts, and Joseph (Lori) Schroll, his grandchildren; Jesse, Colin, Nathan, Shane, Shawn, and Cory, and his 8 cherished great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 11:00am-1:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
